5 Beauty Recipes

The nice thing about making your own natural cosmetics is that you can recognize the ingredients, even pronounce them. There is no mystery involved. Additionally, the ingredients are often on hand, are effective, inexpensive, and if you don't feel like making a cosmetic, you can eat the ingredients or use them for something else.
Below are 5 natural cosmetics to make that require no more than two ingredients. Two recipes only require water as the second ingredient.
5 BEAUTY RECIPES

1 - Green Tea Tonic:
To Cleanse and Tone - The green tea tonic is made simply, with green tea (see photo) and water. Take 2 teaspoons of green tea (or tea leaves) and let steep in 1/2 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. After it cools, apply to face with a cotton ball. It tones and soothes tired skin. Rinse. Use daily to get the results you like. (See link below for how to shop for green tea).
2 - Apple Cider Wash:
For Oily Skin - The apple cider wash is apple cider vinegar (ACV) and water. Mix 2 tablespoons of ACV with 2 tablespoons of distilled water in a very pretty bowl. Apply to the face with a cotton ball. Rinse the face after with tepid water. The wash effectively removes residue from the face.
3 - Cucumber Hand Wash:
To Soothe Hands - The cucumber hand wash combines a small, peeled cucumber with 1 tablespoon of witch hazel. First blend or mash the cucumber until it is liquified. Add the witch hazel - and thoroughly wash and massage the hands with the mix. The cucumber hand wash is cooling, has astringent properties, and will soothe puffy hands and help heal.
4 - Hot Oil Nail Treatment:
For Flexibility and to Strengthen - For hardworking hands (like those typing all day), the hot oil treatment requires 1/4 cup olive oil and oil from a vitamin E capsule. Heat the olive oil and remove from the heat. Let it cool slightly - but it should still be warm. Add the vitamin E oil. Massage oil into cuticles and nails. Massage leftover oil into the hands.
5- Soothing Leg Rub:
Relief For Tired Legs - This peppermint and soy oil recipe helps relieve tired and cramped legs. Mix 1/2 cup soy oil with 4 drops of peppermint essential oil. Massage into legs. The soy oil is a carrier oil and will be absorbed into the skin. The peppermint provides anti-inflammatory benefits as well as soothing properties, and the ability to relieve cramps.
